Ireland still suffers from the famine.

Monday 5 May 2008 @ 3:53 pm

Ireland is still suffering the effects of the great famine, 1845-1852. The famine was a defining moment in Irish history. At this time, Ireland was ruled directly by England. English landlords owned Irish land. The people had to work for their landlords in return for the patch of land they needed, in order to grow enough food for their own families. This was the system which forced Ireland and its peasantry into monoculture, as only the potato could be grown in sufficient quantity.

When the potato crop failed, the people could not eat as any food grown was exported to England by the English landlords.

When the famine began, people had a choice; either eat fish (Lots of fish around Ireland) or leave. The intelligent people left Ireland, this left behind a weak gene pool. It’s from this weak gene pool that Fianna Fail evolved. When Ireland got independence, the people still had the peasant mentality. The Irish people still bow and grovel to people that they perceive as being in power. Fianna Fail acts in a similar manner to the old English landlord class. The dumb Irish peasants continue to vote for a political party that is corrupt and rotten to the core.

America welcomes Ahern, why?

Wednesday 30 April 2008 @ 9:07 am

Today,  Bertie Ahern  makes a  speech to the joint houses in  the states.  Why is this man  being given such an honour? It seems he is taking credit for  creating peace in  Ireland.  How could  Bertie create peace if he was not involved  in the war?  The reason that we have peace is because the British government and the IRA both got sick of fighting a war that neither could win.  Does anybody think for one second that either party would listen to a man that has so much trouble explaining the most simple of financial transactions?

Here is a list of the transactions that have been uncovered when the was earning 30k per year.

Cowen is just like Haughey

Friday 25 April 2008 @ 10:53 am

Remeber when Haughey told us all to “tighten our belts” ?

Well now we have our new great leader telling us it would be “hypocritical” not to accept the massive pay rises awarded to him and fellow ministers.

This is at the same time as the workers who built the “Septic Tiger” economy are being told not to expect payrises in line with the inflation created by FF.

This us yet another 2 fingered salute to the “common” people of Ireland from “our betters” in FF.

Ahern hits out at tribunal again

Sunday 20 April 2008 @ 11:08 am

On sky news this morning, he fired some more shots at the tribunal. He said that it’s taking to long, that the lawyers are making fun and games about his finances. The cheek of this man is frightening. Firstly, if he had given the tribunal full and proper explanations when first asked he would not be in the mess he is in now.

As for the tribunal making fun and games regarding his finances, it’s Bertie who has given the funniest explanations for the massive sums of money flowing through his accounts.

Bertie is giving us all the two fingers, he should charged with contempt for this latest outburst against the tribunal that he setup.

76 year old woman left in her own shit in an Irish “hospital”

Thursday 17 April 2008 @ 8:23 am

Reported in the Irish star this morning, a 76 year old woman was taken into A+E in the Mater hospital, after suffering a heart attack. She has been left in the third world standard A+E unit since 11pm on Monday evening. She has not been able to leave the trolley she has been parked on, and has had to suffer the indignity of being left to stew in her own shit.

This is a 76 year old woman who was worked and paid her taxes etc. She had to wait 7 hours before a doctor came to see her.

When the Irish health service was asked by the radio station Newstalk to comment about the case they said ” We will not give comments to Newstalk as they are running a campaign against the health service”. This is a disgrace. A radio station that asks questions about how tax payer’s money is spent is deemed to be subversive.

Green minister John Gormless caused a stir for rubbing China up the wrong way regarding human rights in Tibet, if only he could concentrate on human rights in Ireland.

Ex consultant Maurice Nelligan said this morning that all the HSE do is “spin lies”.

Why is Mary Harney allowed continue in her job? Why is she allowed spent billions of our euros and give us nothing in return?
